I am a long term Darwin resident, who like most children spent a lot of time painting and drawing.

In the past, I was one of those people who never finish what they start. That is, until I joined the “Hang It Marvels” group. With my long time friends and their never ending support, I am really proud of what I have achieved and how much my personal creativeness has re-emerged and the extent my artistic understanding and abilities have grown.

Many of my paintings take shape through experimentation. Accidents often end up being the main focus of the painting, like intuition or my sub-conscious coming out to play. I try not to limit myself to my favourite subjects and colours (which happen to be my family and animals and purple, blue and pink).

Doesn’t matter how many paintings I now finish, every painting is still an experiment which I don’t want to end, but the surprise when it is finally finished is the greatest reward.

This creative reawakening has extended into my bead making. I have over 30 years of saved beads from all over the world. What started as a hand-made present giving pastime has extended to the joy of making beautiful semi-precious bracelets and necklaces. I have made so many now, family and friends have presented out and I still have a large inventory looking for new homes.
