This is a print on archival art paper, from my original collage, (SOLD) .
I wanted to commemorate one of the oldest schools built in Darwin. Darwin Primary School was built in 1915 in one of the prettiest green areas in Darwin City – town as Frogs Hollow. The building was later used by community groups and local artists as a base for workshops and exhibitions after the primary school closed. The surrounding grounds included large grassed areas and tropical groves and is prime real estate. In 2018 the building was vacated to make rom for major works and much of the land was absorbed into the new Garramilla Boulevard, a multi-lane new entrance to the city, which was opened in September 2019. To date, the building remains boarded up, as the city looms behind it.

About Framing
Wooden frame.
When an artwork is on paper or surrounded by cardboard matting (the mount), it will need to be protected by glass. In this case a traditional frame is needed to hold the glass in place. At Hang It we have a wide choice of frame mouldings, matt colours and designs and types of glass. We are always happy to help you with your selection.
