Mixed media collage on board.
An original collage. Bamboo really is a stunning grass. This was created after sitting on my back verandah drinking a coffee and admiring my beautiful tropical garden. The black bamboo was looking particularly colourful and I have mixed torn papers with acrylic paints and oil crayons.

About Framing
Black wooden frame with glass.
This artwork was framed at Hang It picture framing.
To enquire about the framing of any items, visit the Hang It website or call 08 8941 0999 for advice on your best framing options or visit us at 140 Smith Street, Darwin.
Float frames sit AROUND the artwork, rather than covering over the edges. They give the illusion that the art block is floating within a frame, like a shallow open box. Float frames are typically used around stretched canvas or wooden boards. We usually leave a 5mm – 10mm space around the art, which suggests the artwork is “floating” within the box. Float frames can only be used when glass is not required.
When an artwork is on paper or surrounded by cardboard matting (the mount), it will need to be protected by glass. In this case a traditional frame is needed to hold the glass in place. At Hang It we have a wide choice of frame mouldings, matt colours and designs and types of glass. We are always happy to help you with your selection.
