Wings of Prey (Sold)

Acrylic paint and charcoal on canvas.

I was experimenting with image transfers, and after placing the eagle, the abstract in the background started to make sense in a landscape form. However the bird was a bit lost, so I added the grey tones to simplify it, and then his shadow, to clarify the story.

Just a peaceful little canvas that would fit in anywhere.

Price: $150.00
Size: 30cm x 30cm (LxH)

About Framing

Stretched canvas.

Float frames sit AROUND the artwork, rather than covering over the edges. They give the illusion that the art block is floating within a frame, like a shallow open box. Float frames are typically used around stretched canvas or wooden boards. We usually leave a 5mm – 10mm space around the art, which suggests the artwork is “floating” within the box. Float frames can only be used when glass is not required.

When an artwork is on paper or surrounded by cardboard matting (the mount), it will need to be protected by glass. In this case a traditional frame is needed to hold the glass in place. At Hang It we have a wide choice of frame mouldings, matt colours and designs and types of glass. We are always happy to help you with your selection.
