“Hang It” is certainly well named, because that is where three of us Hang Out every Saturday.
When the front doors close, the drop sheets go down on the big work tables, machinery is rolled out of the way, and the real fun begins.
While we’ve been friends for years, our desire to be more creative was given a real boost when we followed an online course that promoted freedom from fear, and we began working together so we could discuss this approach to art, and also encourage and challenge each other.
Now we have each set up studios at home, but really look forward to Saturdays when we can share our progress, and can also frame our work. What a bonus to have access to framing!
Amanda moved away from Darwin some years ago, so she works alone in her studio in NSW, but being Debs sister, they are constantly also sharing photos and feedback. And Amanda’s work also hangs in our gallery.
On this website, we will keep you up to date with what we are doing ….painting, drawing, chatting, saving the world, and sharing afternoon tea.
You will see us working on numerous artworks …but don’t get too confused….that same painting may be totally unrecognisable the next week, that’s how they develop!
